FAQs
I hope this page answers any initial questions you may have about working with me. Whether you're considering a Just BE session or another portrait experience here on the Central Coast, I'm always here to help if anything still feels unclear.
I can’t wait to connect with you!
-
Most sessions take place in my cozy studio in Oceano, where the space is thoughtfully designed to help you feel at ease. If you would like to consider a shoot on location, I’m happy to explore that with you—just reach out for a personalized quote.
-
Most sessions last around 3 hours, no matter which type you choose. I always recommend setting aside the full afternoon—not just for the shoot itself, but to allow space to ease into the day, enjoy the process, and soak in the love and energy we create together. The experience is more relaxed and meaningful when you’re not focused on time and can be fully present.
-
Absolutely. You are more than welcome to bring someone special to share in the experience—there’s no additional cost. Whether it’s your partner, a close friend, or a loved one, we’ll create space to capture both individual portraits and beautiful moments together. It becomes a shared celebration—of your relationship, a special occasion or milestone, or simply the joy of being present with someone you love.
-
Once you book your session, I’ll send over a tailored prep guide to help you choose outfits that align with your shoot and make you feel confident and at ease. I recommend arriving in comfy clothes and bringing your selected outfits with you. I also have a small studio wardrobe with unique and beautiful pieces you’re welcome to explore. And of course—I’m always happy to chat beforehand if you’d like help deciding, or feel free to bring extra options and we can choose together once you’re here.

Hair and makeup is not automatically included, but I work with some amazing artists and would be happy to arrange this for you in my studio as an optional add-on. The fee is $250 and can be added to your session upon request.

Just BE sessions are raw, real, and honest—celebrating your perfect imperfections. No retouching is done, because the beauty lies in the truth of how you show up.
For other sessions, light retouching is included and always tailored to your preferences. We’ll talk about what feels right for you—whether that’s keeping things natural or making subtle refinements. Most of my clients choose a more organic, true-to-you style.
-
Just BE sessions are exclusively black and white—that’s part of what makes them so soulful and distinct. For all other sessions, we can absolutely include color portraits if you'd like. That said, most of my clients are drawn to the timeless, emotional feel of my signature black and white style and often choose it for the majority of their collection.
-
If you’ve booked a Just BE session, you’ll see your portraits the same day during the Image Reveal Session—that’s also when you’ll make any purchasing decisions.
For all other sessions, you’ll return for a follow-up Image Reveal within 2–3 weeks of your shoot to view your full collection. No matter when your reveal takes place, I’ll gently guide you through the selection process so it flows naturally—helping you feel confident in your choices and in how you choose to showcase them.
-
Absolutely! Many of my clients choose to add a mini headshot session on the same day as their portrait experience—it’s a beautiful way to capture both personal and professional sides in one session.
-
Individual portraits are $275 (print & digital). Wall art begins at $740. Collections start at $1,590 and offer the best overall value.
Most of my clients invest between $3,000–$4,000 in their portraits and experience. Payment plans are available upon request. Please reach out for full pricing details.

Most people are surprised by how comfortable they feel with me and how easy the experience feels. I often hear that it was more fun than they expected—and felt more like spending time with a friend than an actual photoshoot.
